Weekly Report #2: Self-cultivation of a Lazy Dog

Last week's weekly report took too much meaningless time, so this week I have been thinking about how to save time to the maximum extent.

Current Issues#

I have always been creating in Notion and then publishing to WeChat Official Account (backup in China) and personal website (overall backup... still under construction ⛑️), but I found the efficiency to be very low.

  1. Due to network reasons, images in Notion cannot be inserted into the official account. So after copying to the official account editor, I have to manually insert the images. Since most of my images are screenshots without archives, I have to download the original images from Notion and insert them into the official account, which is very cumbersome and time-consuming.
  2. When synchronizing Notion articles to my personal website, images are still a problem. I need to put the images in the public folder and manually reference them based on relative paths. Although there are many excellent Markdown editors that can automatically categorize documents and images into corresponding folders, image storage is still an issue.

I need a simple synchronization solution... After finishing editing in Notion, I can synchronize to other platforms with one click or manually within 5 minutes.

Temporary Solution#

Currently, the simplest way is to not include images 🤣. I can use the browser extension Notion converter - 笔记转换工具 - Microsoft Edge Addons to copy to WeChat Official Account, and then export from Notion as Markdown to synchronize to my personal website. This is what I am currently trying.

A new problem arises. This extension currently has two issues. Firstly, when copying to WeChat Official Account, it uses the Optima font, and the font layout is difficult to meet my aesthetic standards, so I can only manually adjust the global font. Secondly, it cannot copy emojis 🤪.

It's barely acceptable. Currently, I saw a shared automation process called "方糖 2A1B 实验" by 微博 Easy, which opened up my thinking. Maybe I can make some progress from the Mastodon side. Share the content of the weekly report to Mastodon, and then automatically integrate it into a weekly report. Looking forward to next week's experiment 🥰

Book Recommendation#

The programming book "Serverless Core Technology and Large-scale Practice" is a popular science book about Serverless. The content is decent, but the later part mainly introduces ByteDance's own services, which is enough for me as a beginner who knows nothing. Well, it also dispelled my idea of implementing some services with Serverless.
